Episode description
Don't go into cinema! Roshanak Gerami, actor for theatre, film and television, was born in Tehran on 31 Shahrivar 1362. She studied architecture and then theatre directing, and began her career on stage — including Shakespeare's “A Midsummer Night's Dream”, directed by Mostafa Koushki. Her first professional TV role was in the series “Faseleh-ha”. Her latest role, in Amirhossein Saghafi's film “Az Eshgh” (“Of Love”), won an award at Italy's Ischia festival last Tir. In this conversation Roshanak talks about the hardships of being an actor and the hidden hands of cinema, about her close relationship with Abbas Kiarostami — and says she believes his death was medical error! This episode is stranger than ever! Our long-time sponsor is Vitabiotics. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Baziya - Babak Jahanbakhsh
Audio podcast
We talked about love with Jahanbakhsh, known as the “Sultan of Emotion”. About the days when life got so hard we said: it can't get worse than this... but it did. Even much worse than we imagined. About the days we thought we couldn't go on, and then, once we had come through them, said to ourselves: we never thought we were this resilient... This is just one piece of our long, fascinating conversation with Babak Jahanbakhsh. Watch the full conversation, as always, on Monday on Baziya's YouTube channel.
Baziya - Pouria Bakhtiari
Audio podcast
Is Iran's economy on the verge of collapse?! In episode twenty of Baziya we talked with Pouria Bakhtiari, writer, economic expert and maker of the Ecotopia podcast. For years Pouria has tried to take economics out of numbers and charts and explain in plain language how it affects our daily lives. This time, in a casual conversation, we talked about Iran's economy: from decisions that, as Pouria puts it, should have been explained to a president with an animation, to inflation that governments themselves started and the path that can lead to hyperinflation — and on to Dubai's self-made people!!! Watch the full conversation between Ali Ziya and Pouria Bakhtiari on Baziya's YouTube channel and listen in podcast apps. Vitabiotics, always on the people's side.
